Mary Seacole Local Leadership Programme

This programme is designed for leaders in health and social care who are looking to achieve a nationally recognised accredited qualification to further their career. It is suitable for those with responsibilities for people and services who will have the opportunity to apply what they learn to the workplace.

  • This programme is designed for leaders in health and social care in any sector, who are looking to achieve a nationally recognised accredited qualification to further their career. It is suitable for those with responsibilities for people and services who will have the opportunity to apply what they learn to the workplace.


    • The programme runs for 6 months per cohort and is delivered via an online virtual campus and online discussion forums.

      There will also be 3.5 days delivered virtually or face to face at local organisation(s) venues. The sessions will be facilitated by 2 facilitators from across the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Integrated Care System.

        • Principles of Management and Leadership in an Organisational Context
        • Principles of Developing, Managing and Leading Individuals and Teams to Achieve Success
        • Fundamentals of Finance and HR
        • Recruitment and Selection
        • Leading for improvement

        Assessment


        • Assessment is based on attendance at three and a half online workshops and contributing to an online discussion forum throughout the programme.
        • Learners need to pass the assignment for the Mary Seacole qualification to demonstrate that not only have they understood the assessment criteria but also have applied their learning effectively in the workplace.
        • There is no exam.
