-
What Does the Framework Look Like?
There are three categories – depth, breadth and complexity – recognising that some people may want to stay in role, change role completely, or take the next step in their career.
This provides a flexible approach where people can move sideways, down or up or simply stay where they are – all of which are OK.
Depth – expanding your expertise
Breadth – building your career into other areas
Complexity – growing beyond your current role,
particularly around increasing complexity and
leadership capabilitiesWhat Happens After a Career Conversation?
Knowing an individual’s aspirations is essential to understanding the development activities they need to help shape their career journey.
A range of development opportunities can be found on the ICS Academy Exchange as well as within your own organisation. The development plan should be regularly reviewed by the individual and line manager.
