Trauma Informed Practice Conference

  • Trauma Informed approaches are becoming increasingly adopted into everyday life as a way of reducing the negative impact that trauma experiences can have on our mental and physical health.  Trauma results from an event or set of circumstances that can be perceived as harmful or life threatening.  The experience of trauma can have long lasting effects on a person and are known to limit the ability of a person to function and achieve physical, mental, social and spiritual wellbeing
     
    Having an awareness of Trauma Informed Practice can not only help to support those who we are responsible for providing care to but also for supporting our colleagues and peers to feel safe, develop trusting relationships and to live full and happy lives.
     
    The Trauma Informed Practice Conference is open to all NHS colleagues within the Integrated Care Board, regardless of role and across the Integrated Care System. It will give you the opportunity to hear from experts in Trauma Informed Practice delivery, understand the impact of trauma on individuals and equip us to have meaningful conversations with those we interact with on a day to day basis
