Return to Practice Nursing and Midwifery - Employers Toolkit
At NHS England Workforce, Training & Education (NHSE WT&E) we know that returnee nurses and midwives have a lot to offer our patients, employers and society. That is why we want to make the returning process simple, by offering funded training to ease the transition and build their skills. We recognise that supporting experienced staff nurses and midwives in this way is an effective route to strengthen our teams and bring expertise back into our workforce.
Since the programmes inception in 2014, we are pleased to share that we have welcomed back and supported over 8,000 nurses, along with 153 midwives since 2017.
NHSE WT&E have put this toolkit together for return to practice employers, to serve as one stop shop for all relevant information.
