QSIR Training Opportunities

  • All of our Improvement training offers follow our Trust improvement methodology, QSIR (Quality, Service, Improvement and Redesign).

    All training opportunities are open to anyone working in Health and Care within Herefordshire and Worcestershire and open to everyone regardless of role or banding.




    • The QSIR curriculum consists of 8 elements.  Our courses cover these in increasing levels of detail

      The 8 elements of QSIR are:

      • Leading improvement

      • Project management

      • Measurement for improvement

      • Sustainability of improvement

      • Engaging and understanding others

      • Creativity in improvement

      • Process mapping

      • Demand and capacity


      • QSIR Express is our introductory offering of the quality service improvement and redesign programme.



        What is QSIR Express?

        QSIR Express is suitable for absolutely everyone interested in influencing quality and service improvement for the benefit of our patients and staff.

        QSIR Express is an interactive session delivered either virtually or face to face, lasting 3 hours and completely FREE to attend

        QSIR Express introduces the evidence-based improvement methodology that we use in our organisation

        What happens in QSIR Express?

        QSIR Express enables you to identify areas for improvement

        QSIR Express gets you thinking about improvement curiously and gives you practical tools to turn those change ideas to action

        QSIR Express gives you the opportunity to reflect on where you might have seen improvement happening already in your work area

        QSIR Express provides the opportunity to meet different people across the Integrated Care System and make new connections

        QSIR Express inspires you to influence improvement in your work area

        QSIR Express will give you a level of knowledge understanding and QI tools to be able to commence a small-scale improvement project and measure its impact

      • QSIR Virtual is our intermediate offering of the quality service improvement and redesign programme.



        What is QSIR Virtual?

        QSIR Virtual is suitable for absolutely everyone interested in developing their knowledge and skills to influence quality and service improvement for the benefit of our patients and staff.

        QSIR Virtual is 10 interactive sessions delivered virtually lasting 90 minutes, its an accredited course for 8 CPD points and is completely FREE

        QSIR Virtual introduces the evidence-based improvement methodology that we use in our organisation and provides guidance on how to apply it

        QSIR Virtual also offers QSIR cafes to meet up and talk through how your improvement projects are progressing through the course

        What happens in QSIR Virtual?

        QSIR Virtual enables you to identify areas for improvement and undertake an improvement project as you go through the programme

        QSIR Virtual gets you thinking about improvement curiously and use practical tools to turn those change ideas to action through your project

        QSIR Virtual empowers you to identify and take responsibility for improvements in your work area applying our improvement methodology

        QSIR Virtual provides the opportunity to meet different people across the Integrated Care System and make new connections

        QSIR Virtual inspires you to influence improvement in your work area

        QSIR Virtual encourages you to celebrate successes and learn from experience

      • QSIR Practitioner is our advanced offering of the quality service improvement and redesign programme.




        What is QSIR Practitioner?

        QSIR Practitioner is suitable for all staff interested in developing their knowledge and skills to influence quality and service improvement for the benefit of our patients and staff.

        QSIR Practitioner consists of 5 days of face to face education covering the whole QSIR curriculum, nationally accredited for 40 CPD points.

        QSIR Practitioner explores the evidence-based improvement methodology that we use in our organisation and equips you with the skills, tools and techniques to successfully deliver large scale projects

        QSIR Practitioner also offers QSIR cafes to meet up and talk through how your improvement projects are progressing through the course

         

        What happens in QSIR Practitioner?

        QSIR Practitioner enables you to identify areas for improvement and undertake an improvement project as you go through the programme

        QSIR Practitioner gets you thinking about improvement curiously and use practical tools to turn those change ideas to action through your project

        QSIR Practitioner empowers you to identify and take responsibility for improvements in your work area applying our improvement methodology to large scale change projects

        QSIR Practitioner provides the opportunity to work together in a friendly and creative environment and connect improvement projects together

        QSIR Practitioner inspires you to lead and influence improvement in your work area and across services and systems

        QSIR Practitioner encourages you to celebrate successes and learn from experience

        How do I apply for QSIR Practitioner?

        QSIR Practitioner costs £300 to cover the training venue, refreshments and lunch each day and you will require your line manager's agreement to apply.
